What does it mean to be a cyber poet?
For me, it’s about coding emotion, debugging the soul, and writing futures with feeling.
I am a cyber poet. I use language to map emotional systems, trace resilience, and reflect on what it means to be human in a digitized, accelerating world.
Today is a special occasion. I’m co-leading a poetry and presence workshop at the @Fronteer Tower with two extraordinary collaborators: ✨ Mingzhu He from The Flourishing Systems Foundation 🧠 Alok Srivastava, Ph.D., independent researcher in the sociology and philosophy of science (MIT)
Together, we’re holding space for reflection, creative courage, and emotional intelligence—tools we believe are essential for human flourishing in an increasingly complex world.
Poetry is how I debug the soul. It’s how I remember who I am becoming.
Over the last year, I’ve written more than 300 poems, capturing the full spectrum of emotion—light or heavy, joyful or raw. Each one has been a moment of presence, a conversation with the self, a record of the becoming.
Recently, I joined a poetry conversation—a circle of creators, technologists, healers, and visionaries sharing verse like neural packets of truth. In this space, we didn’t just read poetry. We listened. We witnessed each other. Our words became threads, weaving empathy into collective memory.
The poem I share is about the weave of life.
Why Not Me?
Each night, as I dream, I don’t just sleep— I craft new worlds, where my soul runs deep.
Returning again, I reclaim my peace, Where confidence blooms and doubts release.
My mind untangles puzzles buried in years, And saves others from trauma, pain, and tears.
I long to heal hearts—wide and far—through mine, Unraveling ropes that once confined.
For too long, I believed I was small, But why not me—rising to the call?
Why Not You?
When you rise, rise humble and true— You are divine, a star breaking through.
A rockstar glowing in radiant light, With power to shift our timeline’s plot.
Let the noise fade, hush the inner pest, Believe in your magic—you are the best.
We’ve all fought shadows within our mind, But joy is ours, if we’re willing to find.
Why Not Us?
This time is ours—don’t let it slip. With scarce supplies, yet an endless grip—
On imagination, vast and wide, Why hide alone when we could stride—
Together. The cages we live in are lies. We’ve outgrown the ceilings and shrunken skies.
Meditation calls: let’s break the form, And build anew—a world reborn.
So why not us? Let’s begin today— One step, one breath, a kinder way. For when we dream together, we create the key, To unlock the world we’re meant to see.
We are sometimes the thread, sometimes the loom, sometimes the comb that holds the pattern together. Our identities flow like rivers, crash like dams, and root like forests. These metaphors are not just poetic—they’re systemic. They speak to character, rhythm, and adaptability in complex times.
In my work with founders, therapists, builders, and investors, poetry often becomes a hidden tool—one that reveals the future self, nurtures the inner witness, and deconstructs the false gods of performance and productivity. It helps us ask better questions. It helps us feel.
But poetry is only one part of the journey.
🌀 Trauma—whether personal or professional—does not define us. It does not diminish our power to recreate, to choose, to evolve. You are not broken. You are becoming.
Over the past few years, I’ve been rebuilding the architecture of my own mind. I’ve learned how to open it—not through hacks, but through deep, deliberate presence.
Here’s the process I return to again and again:
🌱 Step 1: Begin with Attention Start noticing. Not fixing. Observe your thoughts the way you’d observe clouds—without judgment.
🧘♀️ Step 2: Cultivate Inner Stillness Even five minutes of silence a day shifts your awareness. I use meditation, poetry, and breathwork. Start where you are.
✍️ Step 3: Write as a Mirror I’ve written 300+ poems in the past year. Not for performance—for presence. Writing reveals what we didn’t know we needed to say.
🌀 Step 4: Surround Yourself With Expansive People Find (or build) communities that mirror your growth. Choose those who call your soul forward.
🧠 Step 5: Seek Friction That Teaches Growth doesn’t come from comfort—it comes from tension with purpose. Step into rooms that challenge your knowing.
❤️🔥 Step 6: Let Desire Lead—With Discernment Follow what lights you up, but ask: is this ego’s hunger or soul’s call? The difference changes your path.
🌐 Step 7: Give What You Learn Away Teaching is sacred. Sharing opens space for others. What you integrate becomes even more real when you offer it freely.
For those of us who’ve lived inside outcomes and OKRs, poetry—and presence—offer something radical: Creation as success. Stillness as clarity. And in that space, lack becomes irrelevant.
I believe cyber poetry is the bridge—between AI and heart, between silence and signal, between the person you were and the presence you are becoming.
If you’ve written something lately—a poem, a memory, a voice note to your future self—I invite you to share it. Not for likes. For liberation.
Let your words be part of the weave. Touch of the heart—from mine to yours.
